Photo Gallery | Southern University Mass Communications Awards Ceremony

The Southern University Mass Communications Department held its awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 2.  The event honored students in broadcasting, print, and public relations. It was held in the Cotillion ballroom at the Smith Brown Memorial Union.

Organizers also recognized distinguished alumni.  Chairman of the Mass Communications Department Mahmoud Braima presented WAFB's Web Producer and Reporter Michelle McCalope with the outstanding alumnae award in journalism.

The event was organized by Assistant Professor Yolanda Campbell. It was sponsored by the Southern University chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
