Farrah Reed, an LSU junior mass communications major, was one of two students awarded the LAB scholarship. Reed is an intern at Channel 9.

The Louisiana Association of Broadcasters' (LAB) 2012 Prestige Awards were held today, March 29 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge.

WAFB's General Manager Sandy Breland received the Broadcaster of the Year award. National Sales Manager Tommy Doherty was recognized for 37 years of Distinguished Service and Channel 9 was given the Community Service Single Service Project Award for the Our Lady of the Lake Five Cars promotion.

Farrah Reed, an LSU junior mass communications major and an intern at Channel 9, was one of two students who received the LAB scholarship.
