LSU Tiger Habitat Scheduled for Front Plaza Improvements

BATON ROUGE – A project to improve the front plaza of the Tiger Habitat at LSU will begin Wednesday, July 25, and will include the addition of decorative paving, lighting and landscaping, and drainage will be improved at the site.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 30.

Visitors will still have access to the upper plaza and Tiger Habitat during construction. Parking will be located further to the east on North Stadium Drive in front of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.  For safety reasons, LSU asks that all visitors avoid the fenced construction zone.

Privately raised funds through the Tiger Athletic Foundation will pay for the project.

I was on a story Friday, February 25 at the Louisiana State Capitol and I had a chance to visit the observation tower on the 27th floor. I've been reporting in Baton Rouge almost two years, but have never done this before. It was well worth it. It's open Monday through Friday and I suggest you try it for a beautiful view!
