BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- A 26-year-old man, who was wanted by police after getting away from them, is now behind bars and possibly nursing some dog bite wounds, after he reportedly ran from them but was caught by a K-9 officer.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Jody Netter was arrested around 1:30 a.m.
Officers said he had been wanted for aggravated burglary and simple escape.
He is now also charged with resisting an officer.
BRPD said Netter was taken into custody after forcing his way into a home and arguing with his girlfriend.
Authorities said he escaped while in custody at the 4th District Precinct.
Police said they received a tip that led them to Netter and he tried to run when he spotted them.
A K-9 officer tracked him down.
He was treated for injuries and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
