Bayou Classic weekend underway with host of activities | Events
The annual Bayou Classic weekend is underway with a host of activities that culminate with the annual game between rivals Southern University and Grambling State University at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Nov. 24.
On Friday, Nov. 23, there will be a golf tournament , an HBCU Empowerment Exchange panel discussion featuring CNN's Roland Martin, a Coaches luncheon, a Welcoming reception, and the Battle of the Bands and Greek Show.
On Saturday, Nov. 24, there will be a fan fest in Champion Square and the game kicks off at 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 25, a Gospel Brunch will be held at the House of Blues.
The annual weekend is expected to attract more than 200,000 people.
