Celebrity/Sorta Celebrity Softball game set for Friday | Community Spirit

The Celebrity/Sorta Celebrity Softball game will be held Friday, July 6 at Cypress Mounds Complex in Baton Rouge.
The event will feature Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden, WAFB Channel 9 Anchors Lauren Westbrook and Cheryl Mercedes and a host of other celebraties.
The game is part of Red, Rock & Blue, the ultimate weekend of fun for the greatest of causes. All proceeds raised from this event are donated to a pair of nonprofit, 501-c, military charities benefitting Louisiana veterans. Those two proud organizations are The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana and Support Our War Heroes.
All funds raised are then divided 50/50 between the two organizations, with last summer's Red, Rock & Blue III raising a record-shattering $61,000 for our brave men & women in uniform.
The festivities also include a charity concert Saturday night and softball/kickball tournament.
