Organizers preparing for Edwards' booksigning | Business

Preparations are underway for former Governor Edwin Edward's booksigning this weekend which organizers expect to attract a huge crowd.

Edwards who was officially released July 6 from home confinement to a Baton Rouge Halfway House will sign copies of his autobiography, Edwin Edwards: Governor of Louisiana.  The author Leo Honeycutt will also sign books as well.

The event will take place at Barnes and Noble Citiplace location on Saturday, July 16 at 2 p.m. and its Perkins Rowe location on Sunday, July 17 at 2 p.m.

Because of the anticipated crowds, wristbands will be handed out beginning at 9 a.m. at Citiplace and 10 a.m. at Perkins Rowe.

Both events are a fundraiser for WKRF 89.3 FM, an affiliate of National Public Radio.  If you mention WRKF at the checkout, they will receive a portion of the sales.
