EBR Superintendent will speak at Press Club Monday | Business

East Baton Rouge Parish School System Superintendent Bernard Taylor will address the Press Club at noon Monday, Sept. 24.

Taylor will discuss the district’s growth in academic performance and innovative programs; how strategic budget cuts were made to ensure financial stability during lower sales collection periods; and the system’s partnership with the Family and Youth Service Center.

Press Club meets on Mondays at the De La Ronde Hall in downtown Baton Rouge at 320 Third St. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and members of the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
