Black Journalists hosting monthly meeting Thursday | Business

The Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists will host its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 28 at Hotel Indigo, 200 Convention Street , from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The agenda includes an overview of the National Association of Black Journalists convention in New Orleans, strategic planning for the upcoming year, and committee assignments.

The group is open to full-time working journalists, public relations professionals, journalism educators, journalism students in high school and college and freelance journalists. Its purpose is to promote diversity in the newsroom, support African American journalists, and raise scholarships for aspiring journalists.
