Steelers' Ryan Clark visits WAFB Channel 9 | Business

Pittsburgh Steelers' Ryan Clark was in our WAFB Studios Friday, June 8 helping to promote the Baton Rouge Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation's walk coming up in August.

Clark has the sickle cell trait. He knows firsthand how devastating the disease can be.

"I almost died and my 27-year-old sister-in-law lost her life," Clark tells 9News Neighborhoods.  "So it's an honor to help spread the message about the disease. The message is it affects everyone and it can be fatal."
