LASM hosting Astronomy Camp | Business
Title (Max 100 Characters)
FROM THE LOUISIANA ART AND SCIENCE MUSEUM
Kids spend five days under the stars identifying constellations and planets, making their own telescopes, and creating a comet at LASM’s Irene W. Pennington Planetarium! It's part of Astronomy Camp. It will be held June 18 through June 22 from 9 to 1 p.m. for kids ages seven to nine.
They also learn to model the solar system, identify the moon’s phases, tell time by the stars, get closer to black holes, and find out just how far it is to the edge of our own known universe! Each camper receives a camp t-shirt, astronomy workbook, and essential equipment for the galactic explorer.
The coist is $110 for members and $125 for non-members. To register, call 225-344-5272, ext. 142.
