Townhall meeting to discuss Istrouma High takeover | Business

A towhall meeting to discuss the Recovery School District and its recent takeover of Istrouma High School and other issues will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be at the Martin Luther King Community Center, 4000 Gus Young Avenue, in the multi-purpose room in Baton Rouge.
"Where are we going and how are we going to get there?" is the theme. The public is invited to attend to voice their concerns.
Representatives from the various organizations will be on hand. Organizers will also discuss the future of CATS and the BRAVE (Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination Project). program.
The meeting is hosted by Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle and State Representative Ted James.
